“From the Sun” was conceived one afternoon sometime between 1974 and 1975 when my bandmate and collaborator at the time begged me to come up with something new to work on. While he was breaking for dinner, I managed come up with the opening theme of the piece. A year or so later, our new band premiered “From the Sun” in concert at a local high school.

A few years later, in 1979, I orchestrated the piece for a full “Rock Orchestra”. My years later I produced an electronic version of the work, an then, in 2023 I began to orchestrate “From the Sun” for a few orchestra. This process is still ongoing and should be completed in late 2026.
